Avatars couldn't travel with users — an identity created on one platform didn't carry to another, and the results felt generic rather than personal. The challenge: one expressive identity system that stayed consistent across radically different form factors, from a VR headset to a phone screen.
I led design and strategy for Fantastical Avatars — a system for personalized, portable digital identity across wearable and mobile. It moved beyond literal self-representation toward something more playful, giving people tools to express who they feel like, not just what they look like.
